This vitamin was first isolated from egg yolk in 1935 and found in a wide variety of combined forms, both in animal tissues as a vegetable. In animals, it is stored in the liver. Biotin is produced directly by intestinal bacteria, although it has been shown that antibiotics and other drugs affect the bacterial production of this vitamin. Biotin as a co-enzyme properties enable you to participate in processes where the carbohydrates and protein are metabolized to the release of the energy contained in them and participate in the production of prostaglandins from the essential fatty acids. The body mainly used it as support for the normal growth and development of the skin, hair, nerves, and bone marrow.
