Silymarin is composed of three isomers called silybin, silidanina, and silicristina, all of them classified as flavonolignanos, being the most important component the silybin. It stands out mainly as hepatoprotective, acts directly on cells of the liver, protecting and repairing the effect that could have caused these toxic substances. Its antioxidant effect also has a clear affinity for the liver cells. It also regulates the blood flow to the liver and promotes the production and secretion of bile. It is very useful, alone or in combination with other hepatoprotectores, for the treatment of specific problems and seasonal debugging, but above all it is highly recommended for regular use in chronic liver problems.
