What is Pycnogenol? Pycnogenol is produced from the bark of the French maritime pine, which is named Pinus pinaster in latin. This tree is cultivated in a plantation of more than one million hectares in the southwest of France. The wood is used for making furniture and all the trees that are carved are replaced by new young trees, thus making the production is fully sustainable. The bark, which is considered a waste of wood production, is used as raw material to produce pycnogenol, which is extracted from it. The fresh bark is powdered and extracted with ethanol and water according to a patented process. After having been cleaned deeply, the crude extract is dried and turned into a very fine Brown dust. The following extract is standardized with a content of 70% /-5% of the active substances of plant, known as Procyanidins.
How to use
take 2 tablets twice a day during the first week, then 1 tablet two times a day or follow the instructions of your health care professional. Take preferably during meals.
