The GLA is the precursor of a particularly important type of prostaglandin called PGE1, which are involved in the regulation of the nervous, cardiovascular and reproductive systems, the State of the skin and biological functions.
Although the body can produce GLA from linoleic acid (fatty acid present in vegetable oils Omega 6) this process is sometimes slow or may be partially blocked.
